What’s easyJet’s hand luggage size and checked baggage allowance? – The Sun

EASYJET passengers should check how much luggage they can take with them for free before travelling or they could be caught out at the airport.

We've explained the amount of hand luggage and checked-in baggage you can take when travelling with easyJet , as well as how much it will cost.

The budget airline is one of the best for hand luggage, as they have no weight limit for your suitcase.

However, they also catch travellers out by not allowing a small handbag on board alongside it. Here is what you need to know.

EasyJet hand luggage rules

All easyJet passengers can take one suitcase into the cabin for free, as long as it measures no more than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm.

The suitcase or backpack has no weight restrictions, meaning you can take as much as you like as long as it fits.

However, passengers are not allowed a second bag, such as a backpack or laptop bag, unless paying extra.

Passengers who pay for Flexi tickets, Upfront tickets or Extra Legroom tickets can bring a second bag which fits underneath the seat measuring 45cm x 36cm x 20cm.

These costs start from £7.99 if buying the additional seat options while Flexi fares can depend on the flight.

For example, a flight from London Gatwick to Majorca costs £25.99 for standard fares, while a Flexi fare costs £198.99.

EasyJet checked baggage rules

EasyJet passengers must pay to check a suitcase into the hold.

The options range from 15kg to 32kg, with each passenger allowed to check up to three bags.

The charges range from £6.99 if purchasing online to £50 if buying at the boarding gate.

To check in a 32kg suitcase, passengers are charged £12 per kg on top of the 23kg bag when checking in online.
