You can stay on England’s largest lake this autumn – with your very own fire pit

As autumn rolls around, many of us are looking closer to home for cozy staycations.

And for those wanting to stay within the UK for a weekend break to take in the best surroundings we’ve got to offer, then look no further than this boathouse stashed on England’s largest lake.

Who needs to jet off abroad when you can wake up to panoramic views of Lake Windermere – on your own private lily-padded lagoon, of course.

As well as sitting on the famous lake that inspired the writing of Beatrix Potter, The Boathouse at Storrs Hall is surrounded by 17 acres of private woodland and gardens along with its own lakeshore – perfect for those who’re brave enough for a dip regardless of England’s unpredictable weather.

If that wasn’t quite enough luxury for you, the incredible holiday accommodation also comes with its own hot tub, a firepit and an outdoor seating area.

It has some seriously spectacular views over the lake and the Boathouse’s interior rivals its incredible settings.

Inside there’s an open plan sleeping area and living space as well as a luxurious bathroom complete with freestanding bath, spa shower and steam room.

When you’re done relaxing – and to get the full spa experience – you’ll find soft fluffy robes waiting for you.

Separate from the Main House at Storrs Hall, the Boathouse is gated and can only be accessed by keypad.

It has its own parking too and when it’s time for a midnight snack over the fire pit, guests can raid the ‘Butler’s Pantry’ for complimentary drinks and snacks.

However, with luxury comes a serious price tag – an autumnal stay in The Boathouse will set you back from £760 per night (including breakfast and access to the Butler’s Pantry).
