You could get a free holiday in a UK cottage or LA mansion just like The Holiday – including flights and spending money – The Sun

FANS of the film The Holiday can live out the movie with a free stay at a UK cottage or California mansion.

You will even be given free return flights and $1,000 (£764) spending money.

The competition is being run by Love House Swap, and has been inspired by the two homes featured in the film which are swapped by Kate Winslet's and Cameron Diaz' characters.

Thankfully you won't have to swap houses to stay for free at the homes.

The cottage in England is located in Cheshire, and features a log burner, large copper bath and views of the surrounding woods.

The one-bedroom barn has a large double bed in the converted attic, and is nearby to a number of cafes and gastropubs.

While the weather might not be great, there is also an outdoor firepit to sit by late into the evening.

The California house is located along the coastline with views of the Pacific Ocean thanks to the floor to ceiling windows.

Outside is as private swimming pool and dining area along with a fire pit.

Inside is perfect for hosting guests with a huge dining room and balcony.

Even the bedroom has views of the ocean, with large double doors looking out to sea.

The competition is for seven nights at one of the properties, with return flights and airport transfers to either the UK or Los Angeles.

Your trip will also be subsidised by $1,000 (£764) spending money.

You can enter on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.

Sadly Kate Winslet's house in the film The Holiday doesn't exist, although the LA mansion owned by Cameron Diaz is a real life house in San Marino.
