Selena Gomez wore a classic french manicure to attend Deadline’s Contenders Television, and if you didn’t think the nail-art look could get any more chic, well, you’d be wrong.
While sitting on a panel with her fellow “Only Murders in the Building” costars, Gomez wore a pink, two-piece tweed ensemble with her new bottleneck-bangs haircut pulled into an elegant half-up, half-down style with some of the pieces framing her face. Her french manicure, a style that has seen a spike in popularity over the last few years, brought the entire look together.
Gomez’s version of the nail look kept her nails a short almond shape and veered from the french tips of the early aughts that saw the nail bed and tips in two starkly different colors. Instead, Gomez’s manicure had a soft pink tint that matched her outfit.
French tips have been the go-to nail look in Hollywood recently, with everyone from Kourtney Kardashian wearing the nail design at her “practice wedding” to Blake Lively putting a fun spin on the trend with a reverse french manicure at New York Fashion Week. With the Y2K aesthetic only gaining momentum, it doesn’t look like french manicures will be going anywhere anytime soon.
