Jason Roy was also joined by his wife Elle Winter Roy and their daughter, Everly, who was born in March.

The family beamed away as they celebrated the momentous win with the rest of the cricket team.

Jos Buttler posed for a picture with his wife Louise, who he married in 2017, along with their daughter Georgia Rose.

The 28-year-old sports star’s smile couldn’t get any wider as he held his daughter.

Chris Woakes was seen holding the epic trophy in one hand and put his other arm around his wife, Amie Louise Woakes, in a sweet moment.

Following the epic victory, an exhausted Ben said he didn’t think there would ever be a greater cricket match.

He told Sky SportS: “I’m pretty lost for words. All that hard work for four years and now to be stood here as champions of the world, it’s an amazing feeling.

“This is where we aspired to be and to manage to come here and do it in such a good game, I don’t think there will ever be a better game of cricket in history than that.

“Playing against New Zealand is always tough, they’re a seriously good team. We had some luck at times and I said to Kane (Williamson) that I will be apologising for what happened for the rest of my life.”

Fans are now calling for Ben to be knighted for the blood, sweat, and tears he put into the match.

His 85 in the 50 overs and seven in the Super Over meant no one deserved the Player of the Match award more.

And fans took to Twitter to call for Ben to be named a “sir” after his heroic actions.

One person wrote: “Knighthood secured. Ben Stokes single handedly saved England. World Champion #CWC19Final #ENGvNZ.”

Another said: “GIVE @benstokes38 A KNIGHTHOOD NOW! GO ON MY SON!! #CWC19Final.”

A third added: “Honestly, someone get Ben Stokes a knighthood. An absolute national hero.”
