This Morning host Phillip Schofield, 57, took to his Instagram story to recall the funny moment in view of his 2.4 million followers. Sitting alongside Holly Willoughby, 38, he began: “We are rehearsing for the Nativity and right in the middle of it…”

Laughing, he continued: “Holly looked at the guy with the donkey…”
“He’s a nice looking donkey… I thought he went, ‘He’s my favourite’, so I said, ‘Oh, is he your favourite?’ And he says, ’No his name is Dave’.”
Holly’s revelation prompted the pair to burst into fights of laughter.
Seeming embarrassed about the humorous encounter, Phillip added: “We just both had to walk out of the studio.”

On today’s show, Holly and Phil were joined by school children as part of their annual Nativity special.
Ahead of the show, the mother-of-three treated her six million followers to a picture of her festive-themed outfit.
The presenter sported a figure-hugging red dress with a high waisted belt and black heels.
She wrote: “Final day of term before we break up for Christmas… so obviously I’ve dressed as Mrs Santa Claus … today’s #hwstyle on @thismorning dress and belt by @suzannahfashion.”
The presenter received a flood of compliments from many of her fans.
One user commented: “Wow gorgeous,” while another wrote:” Perfect outfit for when the queen of Christmas is on the show.”
A third penned: “Beautiful picture look stunning x.”
Earlier this week, Holly and Phil attended the press launch of the upcoming Dancing On Ice 2020 series.

Holly is said to have been tearful as she gushed about their time together on the show.
Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, she told the crowd she has been pregnant with all of her children while presenting the show and now, they come to watch it.
She said: “Phil and I met on this show. There’s a lot of history. You’re going to set me off.
“My kids really love the show as well.

“I get quite emotional thinking about it, that all of them were carried in my tummy on this show and when we finished I always went off and had the babies.”
Due to her emotional display, Phillip Schofield then queried if his co-star Holly is pregnant.
He said: You’re not pregnant are you?” as she tried to fight back tears.
Holly has three children; Harry, Belle and Chester with her long-term husband Dan Baldwin.
She has been presenting the show alongside Phil since 2006. She also became his co-presenter on This Morning in 2009.
