Strictly Come Dancing 2020 professional Janette Manrara, 37, and her dance partner HRVY, 21, have so far avoided the dreaded dance off on the show as they continue to score high with their show stopping routines, however the dancer admitted it hadn’t all been plain sailing behind-the-scenes. Janette revealed it had been a “hard week” practising the Tango with HRVY, which later earned them a whopping 27 out of 30 points last week.

After performing the routine live with her partner, she took to Instagram to thank fans for their support.

Alongside a picture of the dancing duo in action, she wrote: “Tango was tough, but we pushed through it and with your support we are back for another week!

“This year is the TOUGHEST year yet so feeling very grateful to still be a part of the competition! Thank you! #TeamFieryMess.”

Janette went on to share a video of the pair’s performance, adding: “It was a hard week, but so rewarding as well! Here’s our tango in case you missed it!

“Thank you once again for all of your support!”

On Twitter, the dancer shared the moment the pair found out they had made it through to week six of the show.

The duo jumped in excitement as they thanked viewers for their votes.

She reiterated her point once again: “This is the toughest year yet and anyone can go at any time!

“Your votes really make a difference so we truly appreciate your support!

“We’re working hard & always try to bring joy through dancing to all of your hearts!”

Janette’s husband Aljaž Škorjanec is also still in the competition with his dance partner Clara Amfo.

Despite the pair also being a hit with viewers, he recently said he believes his wife could win the Glitterball trophy for the first time with HRVY this series.

Janette and Aljaž, who also performed in Burn the Floor together, both joined the show in 2013.

In their first year, Aljaž won the show with Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy.

This series, the married couple have been kept apart in line with new safety rules.

Professional dancers and their dance partners are not allowed to mix with anyone outside of their bubble, due to the continuous coronavirus spread.

Speaking to Janette on the show, Claudia Winkleman asked: “You have both lived together for 10 years, but to form your bubbles you are both living alone.

“How are you finding it?”

She replied: “I miss him terribly, but we’re doing what’s best for the show.”

The pair have been together for over 10 years and tied the knot in 2017.

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 7.15pm on BBC One.
