Mom of three identified as victim in ‘Shark Tank’ star boat crash

A Canadian mom of three was one of the two passengers killed over the weekend in a collision with “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary‘s boat, according to reports.

Suzana Brito, 48, died from injuries she suffered in the boat crash Saturday night on Lake Joseph in Ontario, the Toronto Sun reported.

Brito — who was referred to as Susanne in some reports — was aboard a 13-person vessel that was returning to a lake cottage around 11:30 p.m when it allegedly struck the reality show star’s boat, TMZ reported.

Another passenger, 64-year-old Gary Poltash, was struck in the head and pronounced dead at the scene. Brito was brought to a hospital, where she was kept alive so her organs could be harvested, according to the Toronto Sun.

Brito’s loved ones took to social media this week to mourn the mother to three young children.

“Your positive energy and sense of adventure and the countless memories we shared,” wrote friend Vanessa Turton-Hunter. “The loss is devastating to anyone who had the sheer pleasure of having you in their lives. I cry now for your 3 babies who lost the most wonderful mother. I will miss you for the rest of my life.”

Another friend, Julia Everist, remembered the Ontario resident as a “someone who touched so many hearts.”

“Thankful for the gift you gave me to be strong and I will always admire, all you accomplished and gave the true meaning of a worrier women in this modern age,” Everist wrote on Facebook. “Your strength will be cherished deeply.”

O’Leary has said that his wife was piloting the boat when they crashed into another vessel without its headlights on, TMZ reported. The businessman insisted that video footage will clear them both of any wrongdoing in the fatal crash.
