Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Cops Plea Deal To Avoid Jail Time In Domestic Violence Case

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro probably ought to consider himself lucky to avoid jail time thanks to his new plea deal in his ongoing domestic violence case.

On Friday, the Jersey Shore star pled no contest to one count of domestic battery and one count of resisting arrest. In exchange, the reality TV star avoids prison, but gets pretty much everything else thrown at him. Justice served?

As you’ll recall, this whole issue stemmed from an October 2019 incident in which the fiery reality TV star was arrested on kidnapping charges after allegedly striking now-ex GF Jen Harley, wielding a knife, forcibly taking their daughter Ariana Sky, and locking himself inside their rented Los Angeles Airbnb as cops arrived. Ortiz-Magro had been facing seven misdemeanor charges over the alleged incident, including domestic violence, child endangerment, brandishing a weapon, criminal threats, false imprisonment, and resisting arrest.

But now, according to TMZ, today’s plea deal will put ALL that behind him for good… assuming he doesn’t get into trouble during his period of probation. The specific terms of the plea include 36 months probation as well as 30 days of community labor in Nevada (where he lives). The Jersey boy must also donate $20,000 to the Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles, a battered women’s shelter, and complete a 52-week domestic violence program at a court-approved agency in Nevada.

Most interestingly, he was not given a no-contact order for Harley, instead ordered by the judge to have “peaceful contact” with his ex-partner as the two of them co-parent their daughter. That means he must continue to obey the now 3-year-old protective order issued on Harley’s behalf. So yeah, while there’s no jail time here, Ortiz-Magro has quite the to-do list to accomplish over the next couple years before he’s free and clear of this incident.

As we’ve been reporting, it appears Ronnie may have moved on from Jen for good. Considering the long, sordid history between these two, all we can say is that’s probably a good idea. Hopefully, the reality star jock does things the right way to comply with the terms of his plea deal, and all this can one day be a distant memory for all involved…

Reactions to the plea deal here, Perezcious readers? Are U surprised Ronnie got by without prison time?? Do U think he can stay on the straight and narrow for a while and keep things calm?!
