Sienna Miller’s fashion designer sister Savannah weds in dress of her own design

Savannah Miller, the sister of actress Sienna Miller, has tied the knot with wealthy aristocrat James Whewell.

A professional fashion designer, Savannah, 43, created her own gorgeous wedding gown for her ceremony in St Peter's Church in Petersham, Richmond, London.

The bride stunned in a corset-style dress with lace overlay, which featured a long train that trailed behind her as she made her way down the aisle.

A close-up photo of the dress showed the intricate lace detailing throughout, and the sparkling beaded necklace featured on the bodice. Along with her glamorous bridal gown, Savannah donned a delicate gold and silver tiara.

James opted for the classic three-piece suit, to which he added a silk light purple tie for the occasion.

This is Savannah's second marriage, having previously married Bushcraft teacher Nick Skinner in 2005, with whom she shares her three children. The couple split in 2018.

Savannah was the designer behind Carrie Johnson's second wedding dress, which she rented for £25. To purchase outright the stylish dress would have set her back £3,500.

A favourite among the rich and famous, model Kelly Brook also tied the knot in one of Savannah's designs.

Prior to launching her own label, Savannah was the protégé of iconic fashion designers Alexander McQueen and Matthew Williamson.

She then launched the label Twenty8Twelve with her famous sister, before launching her own collection titled Savannah in 2012.

Her new husband James is the heir to the Wyresdale Park Estate in Lancashire, from where he runs a lucrative wedding business.

In 2010, James, his sister Sally and their late father James Senior, appeared on the Channel 4's Country House Rescue, which saw them transform part of the grounds into a boutique glamping site.

Wyrsedale is recorded in the National Heritage List for England and both the hall and outbuildings are Grade II listed.

The estate is thought to be currently worth at least £4million, and is a licensed wedding venue, although Savannah and James opted against marrying there.

The couple announced their engagement in December 2021, when Savannah posted a series of photos to her Instagram in which she could be seen sporting a ring featuring a diamond on a pave band as she kissed her new fiancé.

Alongside the snaps she wrote the caption: "I didn’t think this Christmas could get any more special. Yet, in classic magic Jim fashion, I received the best gift I could ever have wished for. The promise of a life filled with love and joy and this man."
