A proud partner of FC Barcelona and its Barca Foundation, Thom Browne is rejoining the football club for a collaborative capsule of charitable goods, channeled through his distinctive sartorial lens. Comprising a host of classic Browne staples, all profits of the partnership will benefit the Foundation’s goal of utilizing sport to aid vulnerable children and young people.
Signature items, including a wool short suit, cardigan, classic white oxford shirt, tie, scarf, socks, knit hat and a pebble grain leather folio, will all feature co-branding and FC Barcelona‘s crest. Naturally, the wearables will be informed by Browne’s cropped silhouettes but swap his trademark shades of grey for the football club’s preferred colors.
Though the New York designer has a multi-year joint effort with the football club, this is the first time to pair’s partnership will be made available to the public, motivated by a reaction to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Appropriately, the proceeds will benefit the Barca Foundation’s goal of continuing its programs while children are socially distant at home.
Expect more information ahead of the capsule’s launch on October 21.
