Loose Women star Stacey Solomon recently moved into her new house in Essex and has been furiously trying to make the mansion more homely. The 31-year-old stunned fans earlier this week after she transformed a green, algae-ridden bench back to its former glory. To clean the bench and the roof of her children’s new Wendy house, Stacey used a Kärcher pressure washer.

She said on her Instagram story: “I just can’t believe the difference.

“It doesn’t even look as good in the picture because the light is behind it but it’s a beautiful brown wood.”

With Britons spending more time at home, it’s important that your garden is both relaxing and enjoyable.

Here are Kärcher’s expert tips to help achieve neat and tidy gardens:

1. Tidy, trim and vacuum

Like Stacey’s bench clean, Kärcher recommends starting off by cleaning garden furniture and any items that have been left outside during the winter months.

Next, the experts suggest tackling the lawn with a stammer or mower, depending on the condition of your grass.

Using an outdoor vacuum may sound bizarre but it allows you to easily clear your patios or decking.

An outdoor vacuum will also stop your indoor one getting damaged.

2. Garden furniture

Britons have admitted that they would be more likely to buy garden furniture than clean it.

However, as Stacey has proven, simply cleaning your garden furniture could inject new life into it and save you money further on down the line.

A pressure washer can also save you water rather than using a hose.

Kärcher recommends their new Power and Smart Control pressure washers which have a trigger gun.

They also advise starting further away from the furniture before moving closer to really remove any thick grime.

3. Pressure wash your paving

Paving slabs are prone to getting caked in dirt, moss and algae so giving them an annual wash can really give them a new lease of life.

A pressure washer allows you to really scrub the pores of the stones too.

According to Kärcher, the best technique is to hold the high pressure jet vertically to the surface and use a sweeping motion.

4. Shape your bushes

After cleaning and rejuvenating your garden furniture and paving, it’s time to get stuck into shearing and trimming your shrubs and bushes.

Trimming them will allow them to grow healthily and will give them a new lease of life.

An electric lopper may be needed if you want a specific shape and design.

To really add a pop of colour to your garden, you may want to add some floral plants.
