A Brit who plunged to his death from a hotel in Magaluf has been pictured for the first time.

Freddie Pring, 20, died after falling from the hotel at around 3am on Friday morning.

Also known by the name Freddie MacVicar – he was a member of Minehead Barbarians RFC in Somerset.

A statement from the Minehead Barbarians Rugby Club said: "It is with deepest sadness that we have to inform you that one of our own, Freddie Pring, has been involved in an accident abroad and has passed away.

"Our love and condolences reach out to everyone that knew Freddie."

Police and emergency services tried to save his life but Freddie tragically died at the scene.

He was staying in a room with friends at the hotel near to where he was found – called the Wave House.

Sources said Civil Guard officers woke up his friends to tell them the bad news.

They were reportedly sleeping and knew nothing about the tragedy.

The incident is now being investigated to determine how he fell to his death
