Christie Brinkley doesn’t plan on posing for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue anymore, but that doesn’t mean she’s hanging up her bikinis.

The 67-year-old supermodel opened up about her viral swim pics during an interview with Fox News, saying she doesn’t let age “control” her.

“I post these pictures because I hear from women my age all the time that say, ‘Thank you for changing the way people think about the numbers,’” she said of her ageless swimsuit snaps.

“Back in the day, numbers represented something. I remember people thinking that after 30, you should never wear your hair past your shoulders, or your hemline needed to hover your kneecaps.”

But for Brinkley, a four-time Sports Illustrated cover girl, those rules were always “so limiting.”

The blond beauty still frequently poses in swimwear on Instagram, whether she’s capturing beachside moments with her son or getting back in a bikini two months after surgery.

“Everybody’s different, everybody’s unique,” she told the outlet. “But it’s like telling a gymnast she can’t do flips past a certain age. It doesn’t make sense. If you’ve got great legs, show them … Don’t be controlled by those numbers.”

These days, the mother of three says she’s feeling “full of gratitude,” even when she’s having a “hard time getting [her] jeans to shut.”

“The other day I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, even my PJs are getting tight around the middle,” she said. “But I just simply do smaller portions and stay moving … I don’t step on a scale. I have my honest jeans tell me the truth. I’ll try those on to see where I’m at. If I fit in those, I feel good. And when they’re too tight, it’s OK, too.”

Brinkley’s not the only former Sports Illustrated star speaking out against ageism, as Paulina Porizkova, 55, also recently addressed critics of her nearly nude posts.

But while Porizkova returned to the famed swimsuit glossy at 53, Brinkley has no plans to appear in its pages now that she’s “been there, done that.”

“I think when I put on my bathing suit again, I want to also have a snorkel and go diving, see the fish,” she added.
