Dina Asher-Smith is the fastest British woman in history. She is set to take part in the women’s 100-metre finals today at 1:50pm BST.
The runner won 100-metre silver and 200-metre gold at the 2019 World Championships and is in a good position to compete in the Japan final.
With numerous accolades already under her belt, the runner has earned an impressive amount during her career so far.
According to Idolnetworth.com, Asher-Smith is worth $8.5 million (approximately £6 million) as of 2021.
Born in 1995, the 25-year-old sprinter already has three prestigious medals to her name.
She won a gold medal in the 200 metres, a silver in the 100 metres and another silver in the four x 100m relay at the 2019 World Championships.
This marked her as the first Briton to win three medals at the event.
Asher-Smith also has medals from the 2016 Rio Olympics, as well as the 2013 and 2017 World Championships.
She began to shine as a runner aged 13, when she set the world record for her age group in the 300 meters with a time of 39.16.

She was also the youngest athlete selected for the Great British and Northern Ireland Squad for the 2013 World Championships in Moscow.
At the 2014 World Junior Championships in Eugene, Asher-Smith won the 100 metres running 11.23 secs.
In 2015, Asher-Smith took home the silver medal at the 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships for the 60 m.
It marked the first time in 50 years that a British female had achieved the silver medal.
At the 2016 Summer Olympic in Rio, she finished fifth in the 200 metres, in 22.31 seconds.
She also won a bronze medal with her teammates in the four x 100 metres relay.
This set a British record of 41.77 seconds.
In 2017, the Olympian had a setback when she broke her foot in an accident during training.
Despite this, she still managed to secure fourth place in the women’s 200 metres and a silver medal as part of the relay team at the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships in London.
In 2018, the young runner was named women’s European Athlete of the Year.
She was also hailed by IAAF president Sebastian Coe as the next sprint sensation in athletics.
Asher-Smith won the silver medal in the 100 metres at the 2019 World Championships in a new British record of 10.83 seconds.
As of July 2021, her best season times in her signature events were 10.91 seconds and 22.06 seconds.
However, it does not just sport that Asher-Smith excels at.
She also holds a BA in history from King’s College London.
