Dreading the heat? Aldi launches cooling bedding range just in time for summer

If you’re among those dreading those balmy summer nights, we’ve got good news for you.

Aldi is launching a range of cooling bedding designed to mitigate that summer heat.

The retailer’s new Cooling Down for Summer range works using special fabrics designed to help regulate your body temperature.

The collection includes a duvet set with (double £18.99 / king-size £22.99), a double fitted sheet (double £9.99 / king-size £11.99) and the pillowcase pair (£3.99)

The range comes in white, blue, grey and blue and white patterned colours.

So how does it work?

The bedding is made from a fabric blend of 70% Cotton and 30% Tencel.

Tencel fibres support your body’s natural thermal regulating mechanism, thus helping you get a restful, cool night’s sleep.

On top of that, Tencel is sustainably sourced, so there’s benefits all over.

Keen to get your hands on a set?

The Cooling Down For Summer range will be available online from Sunday 30 May and in Aldi stores from Thursday 3 June.

If you’re looking for other ways to keep cool at night this summer, sleep expert James Wilson recommends keeping your bedroom door and windows open throughout your home to get a good amount of airflow going, and keeping your blinds closed during the day to keep the heat out.

You might also try having a cool bath or shower before bed and listening to some music or a podcast while you drift off to distract yourself.

James also said you can make your own air conditioning by putting a bowl of cold water in front of your fan to blow chilly air across the room.

If you want to browse some more cooling sheets but aren’t sure where to start looking, we tried a bunch in the middle of a heatwave (remember those?) so you don’t have to.
