Halle Berry isn’t ready to commit to a huge tattoo — yet.
The actress, 52, shocked fans in March when she posted a sexy shirtless picture with a large leaf-patterned tattoo running down her spine from the nape to the base. While many thought the “Catwoman” star looked great with her new ink, Berry finally revealed that it was simply temporary ink for a new role.
“I am starting a new movie in a few months so I’m trying out different tattoos to see what will fit best for my character,” she told James Corden during an appearance on “The Late Late Show.” She added, “I’m discovering how long will they last, how much wear would I get out of one, so I know how much it’s all going to cost.”
She confirmed that she’ll be trying out many different designs in the coming months.
It’s unclear which role she’s referring to. Berry is currently promoting “John Wick: Chapter 3” and has two movies coming up that might be fitting for a more edgy look. She’s currently directing “Bruised,” a martial arts movie, and will star in the remake of “Jagged Edge” in a role originated by Glenn Close as a lawyer defending an accused murderer.
While Glenn Close likely didn’t sport any tattoos at all, fans can be on the lookout for different patterns Berry might debut — with or without clothing — on Instagram.
