In today’s celebrity hair news Winter Love Island 2020 star Luke Trotman has unveiled a brand new look to his followers – and it’s a big move away from his former look.
The 24 year old took to Instagram to reveal that he has bleached his naturally dark short hair, and that it’s currently looking on the purple side thanks to the use of a toner.
It also looks like he’s gone slightly shorter than usual with his latest trim for a barely-there style.
“Hair update: Toner coming out, kinda purple. I like it,” he captioned a mirror selfie showcasing the new look on Instagram Stories.
Ever the comedian, Luke later posted a hilarious reel showcasing his mum Beverley’s thoughts on the new hairstyle.
“When you get to that age where you no longer fear the consequences,” the video’s text reads, while his mum glares at the freshly-bleached short hair.
Beverley’s apparent thoughts aside, many of Luke’s 1.3 million followers took to the comments section of the video to praise him on the new makeover.
“Yooo the hair colour’s dope, you’re braver than me lol,” wrote one, while another added, “Love this!!”
It’s well known that Luke likes to look after his hair, previously revealing to OK! that he is usually meticulous about getting regular fresh trims as his hair grows so fast. The less frequent grooming arrangements on Love Island were therefore a bit of a struggle.
"I get a haircut sometimes twice a week, but in the villa they only let us get one once every two weeks," he told us over the summer. "I was almost in tears!"
“You actually had a breakdown, didn’t you?” then-girlfriend Siânnise added. “Your hair grows so fast!”
The makeover comes about a month after it was reported he and Siânnise have ended their relationship.
The pair had been living together since leaving the show at the start of 2020, and had even got a Cockapoo puppy, Nala, together.
Who knows, maybe this is just the start of a whole new world of fun hair colours for Luke. Pink next?
