Body parts often come with various slang words, whether it’s from family-used nicknames or pop culture references found on social media.
However, while some nicknames might be endearing, there are some words that just end up being incredibly unappealing, giving us the instant 'ick' when we hear them.
And now a new study from lingerie company Pour Moi found the most cringey names used for boobs – and there is some rather eye-raising selections in there.

Topping the list for ickiest names for boobs in the UK is ‘milk monsters’, with one in five (20%) people saying it's an off-putting term for describing breasts.
Following this is ‘spaniel ears’ (19%) and ‘honker honkers’ (19%), with people saying these slang words are some of the most cringey ways to refer to boobs.
Rounding off the top five, is ‘breasticles’ (18%) and ‘dog ears’ (18%).
Whilst the rest of the top 10 are fried eggs (17%), nunga nungas (17%), bazookas (16%), The Mitchell Brother (16%) and fun bags (16%).
The study also looked at the most used slang words for boobs in the UK as it found breasts (54%), t*ts (46%), boobies (38%), chest (33%), and bust (31%) are up there with the most common after boobs itself (70%).
Looking at things globally, the research reveals worldwide slang words vary vastly, with memorable translations including ‘steering wheels’ in Sweden, ‘balloons’ in Poland, ‘pacifiers’ in Portugal and ‘cauldrons’ in Cyprus.
Although translations of classic words such as 't*ts', 'boobs' and 'breasts' are common around the world, there are a number of countries that take inspiration from animal names, such as 'goats' in the Czech Republic, 'pugs' in Germany and 'puppies' in Latvia.
In Europe, there were plenty of interesting slang words including ‘pumpkins’ in Belgium, 'mounds of earth' in Bosnia and Herzegovina and ‘cheese wheels’ in Switzerland.
Whereas in Asia, food-related terms were a popular way to describe boobs, with ‘papaya’, ‘fried eggs' and 'peaches' favoured slang words in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
However it's not just Asia where we see food-related nicknames, in Mexico they use the term 'pork rinds', in Uruguay 'melons' is used and in Lithuania they use the word 'dumplings'.
More unusual objects used to describe breasts were found to be 'stones' in Denmark, 'dice' in Azerbaijan, 'bowls' in Italy and 'pots' in Austria.
In the UK, 'bangers' is commonly used, whereas the US often uses the word 'rack' and it's 'honkers' in Canada.
And in Australia the term 'headlights' can be heard frequently, while next door in New Zealand they use the word 'funbags'.
So don't make a boob of yourself – make sure you get the correct term for the puppies when heading abroad!
