Prince Harry and Prince William Have Talked, But Only About 1 Issue

Prince William and his younger brother, Prince Harry are two popular royal family members. Up until recently, the brothers were super close, constantly supporting each other in all that they did, and leaning on each other after the untimely death of their beloved mother, Princess Diana.

Fans always enjoyed seeing them together at royal events. And after Prince William married his wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry often joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for appearances, becoming affectionately known as the “world’s most famous third wheel.”

It was often thought, over the years, that once Prince Harry settled down with a wife of his own, that the two couples would become inseparable. When he started getting serious with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, there was speculation among millions of fans regarding just that.

Fans were shocked at reports of Prince William and Prince Harry’s royal rift. Prince Harry’s move to a different continent, coupled with his bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, has fueled speculation that the brothers are not on the best of terms. Despite reports of the two of them making strides toward reconciliation, Prince Harry and Prince William have talked, but only about one issue.

What was their rift supposedly about?

For years, there seemed to be no two brothers closer than the two princes. Prince Harry proudly stood by his brother’s side on his wedding day, and Prince William was always there when Prince Harry needed him. That’s why the world was shocked when reports emerged that the princes had some sort of feud.

So, what was the rift actually all about? According to Vanity Fair, it was somewhat complicated. Apparently, when Prince Harry first began dating Meghan, Prince William grew concerned with how quickly things were heating up. He reportedly spoke to his brother, which caused some hurt feelings.

It didn’t end there, however. Tensions grew when Prince William asked the late Princess Diana’s brother to speak to Prince Harry, with the younger prince becoming furious that Princess William was “dragging other family members into the row.”

Are William and Harry on speaking terms?

So much has been going on behind palace doors, and when Meghan and Prince Harry announced that they were stepping down as senior working royals over a year ago, it really only added fuel to the fire. Prince William and Kate felt the pressure of having to take on additional duties, and it got to the point where the two couples weren’t even on speaking terms.

Marie Claire reports that while things had gotten pretty bad at one point, the brothers are back on speaking terms, although things aren’t nearly the same as they once were. There are quite a few issues to work out, and only time will tell if Prince Harry and Prince William can put this all behind them.

Prince Harry and Prince William have talked but only about one issue

Just because the princes are back on speaking terms certainly doesn’t mean that they talk on a regular basis like they used to. Almost everyone knows that members of the royal family had some hurt feelings after the explosive sit-down interview that Meghan and Prince Harry recently had with Oprah Winfrey, and no one was sure exactly what was going to happen.

Us Weekly reports that after the interview aired, Prince William promised to call his little brother, and he made good on his vow to do that. Even so, they didn’t have a very in-depth conversation about all the matters that need to be addressed.

In fact, Prince Harry and Prince William have only talked about one issue — and it turns out that the upcoming tribute to their late mother “was the only topic they discussed” during their strained conversation.

That said, with the recent death of Prince Philip, Prince Harry returned to England to attend the funeral. The brothers met after their grandfather’s funeral, reports The Sun. A source told the publication that their meeting was “unproductive.”

The source suggests the brothers may have discussed the Oprah interview. “It is not known what was said behind closed doors and when the cameras were turned off, but it’s unfathomable to think Megxit and Oprah did not come up,” a source said.
