Six royal beauty rules Kate Middleton won't break & why she's so picture perfect – including the hack with lipstick | The Sun

SHE is a true Queen when it comes to beauty, and Princess Kate never breaks protocol either.

Known for her beautiful brunette locks, flawless skin and a forever glowing complexion, Kate always has us wondering the secrets to her beauty regime.

And being a part of the Royal family, means there are plenty of do's and don’ts – which everyone must follow when presenting themselves at formal events.

The Princess of Wales is sure to never fail the long list of ‘to dos’, even just hours after giving birth.

Makeup expert Saffron Hughes at False Eyelashes has explained that Kate must follow all “dress codes to etiquette rules” as the family also wish to maintain their high standards.

Saffron says Kate has “perfected her execution of approaching beauty.”

BY A HAIR

I had absolutely no hair on the top of my head, a life-changing buy changed that

And so what exactly are her secrets?

Saffron explains that Kate follows everything from the types of lipsticks to wear, to contouring and how to keep her hair in tic tac shape.

Perfect Skin

Make-up, especially foundation, will not look natural on skin that isn't smooth or desperate for some moisture.

Which is why Kate will focus on her skincare routine, just as much as her makeup.

Foundation, lipsticks and bronzers all need skin that is hydrated to look it's best on the surface and, of course, picture perfect.

According to AOL, Kate is loyal to the Vita-A-Kombi 1 moisturising cream, Professional Cleansing Gel, and the Oxygen Face cream.

And apparently, the "Royal Oxygen Regime" was apparently Catherine's pre-wedding 4-step beauty ritual.

Lipstick

Opting for a daring lip colour like red can be a high maintenance choice.

It can be easily noticed once it starts to wear off, which may mean that you need to constantly top it up – which Kate doesn’t have time for.

Kate is always picture perfect, and choosing a much softer colour probably helps too.

Kate is a Bobbi Brown fan, and relies on the brand for her lip colour too – which is an nude, and natural lip.

It’s been reported that her favourite lip colour is Bobbi Brown’s Sandwashed Pink Lipstick.

On her wedding day Kate opted for a rosy cheek with a matching lip.

Contour

It is widely known that the royals forbid heavy makeup, and instead of using a thick concealer for contouring Kate apparently opts for a softer touch.

Saffron believes that Kate utilises a dewy foundation and liquid highlighter which “can accentuate cheekbones just as much as a contour shade would.”

Hair in check

The royal family is strict about hair colour and styles.

It’s been reported that they insist on classy, and classic hairdos – and that members must not dye their hair too far from their natural hair colour.

Kate does this by keeping within two shades of her mahogany brown luscious locks.

The Princess of Wales is known worldwide for her silky hair that always appears to be perfectly blow-dried.

No touch ups

Kate is never seen or pictured touching up her makeup, but Saffron says that Kate will come to events with makeup “in case of emergencies.”

She adds: “It's likely it’ll go unused. Another beauty rule is that the royal women mustn't touch up their appearance in public so instead, Kate will use a budge-proof setting spray and primer.”

Foundation

Having a good foundation base is great for always being picture ready.

By finding the perfect match, which goes onto the face smoothly and with a natural colour, means your skin doesn’t come up too oily or off colour in pictures.

Saffron says a “dewy foundation, thick brows and rosy pink cheeks” appears to be the Princess go to.
