Meghan McCain from The View recently became a mother after the birth of her daughter Liberty Sage McCain Domenech. The conservative co-host is “blissed out” with her little bundle of joy. Fans have shared her excitement on social media sending her good vibes to her growing family. However, McCain has not shared a photo of her baby and had some of her followers wondering why.
Meghan McCain appreciates privacy
Early into her pregnancy, McCain was adamant that she would keep as private as possible. Along with her husband Ben Domenech, they both decided that it was best for them to keep their baby out of the limelight. Sharing often leads to trolls taking the opportunity to take a jab at the couple and that’s not something the political analyst wants.
“Ben and I have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families’ privacy as much as is possible,” McCain posted on Instagram. “I believe children have a right to privacy and hope you will all understand as we navigate this as much as possible going forward without sacrificing our comfort or safety.”
Growing up in the public eye, McCain knows what it’s like to be constantly observed. The Republican activist acknowledges that being part of a daytime talk show, co-hosts are expected to talk about their day-to-day lives, but she is not one to do whatever everyone else does.
“I know this is an unorthodox choice for a talk show host who is on TV five days a week – but I’ve always lived by the beat of my own drum,” she continued. “Thank you for the continued kind words, support and prayers regarding my pregnancy from so many of you who are nothing but kind. It has meant a lot during this crazy time.”
Meghan McCain shares sweet moment
Although McCain has not shared photos of her baby, she has shared a couple of moments with fans. It’s impossible not to feel joy for the TV co-host as she experiences motherhood. As fans shared their best wishes, McCain acknowledged all the love with a sweet tweet.
“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful well wishes and overwhelming kindness,” McCain tweeted. “Ben and I are completely and utterly in love with our daughter and feeling indescribably blessed/blissed out. We will be watching her first debate as a family together tonight.”
Ahead of giving birth, McCain has dedicated an Instagram post to her husband. She shared a photo of him kissing her, which was in one of her first dates.
“TBT many, many, years ago on our, like, third date. Drunk on whiskey sours,” McCain shared. “Cut to today and I’m a few weeks away from having your baby… Life is bananas and we have been through the most insane sh*t the world can throw at a couple and somehow come out the other side still in love and intact.”
McCain goes on to explain how she saw him on the Bill Maher show and looked for him on Twitter. Although she initially thought the relationship was not going to work out, she was kindly surprised that everything has worked out in their favor.
