Vinny and Pauly D found love — with someone other than each other.
MTV’s season finale of the “Bachelor”-style dating show “Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny” aired Thursday night, revealing the romantic fates of the best friends and “Jersey Shore” co-stars.
Vinny Guadagnino, 31, was torn between two women: Alysse Joyner, 24, of NYC, and Elle Wilson, 25, from Philadelphia.
In the end, Guadagnino chose Joyner to experience the honor of being his girlfriend.
“Since the first minute we chilled with each other I’m always drawn to you. It’s effortless when I hang out with you. I know you’re shy and introverted and I am, too. But if you’re ready for a shot at love, so am I,” he professed to Joyner, with BFF Pauly DelVecchio, 38, standing by.
Joyner happily accepted the Chippendales dancer’s proposition.
Next, it was DelVecchio’s turn. After sending home Derynn Paige, 25, of Franklin Lakes, NJ, remaining contestant Nikki Hall, 26, of LA, was all too happy, thinking she won the DJ’s heart.
But this “Double Shot” was served up with twist: DelVecchio decided to send Hall packing, choosing to remain single.
“I’m rolling solo for now,” he told her.
“The best thing in this process is to be honest, and that’s what I was,” he said in an interview about his choice.
Though he left without a lady on his arm, DelVecchio learned lessons in love. “I know how to be vulnerable now,” he said.
