Weight loss diet plan: Man reveals how he lost almost 10 stone on IF and the keto diet

A weight loss diet plan that helped one man lost 10 stone has been revealed online by the proud dieter.

Reddit user ‘WritersAdvocate’ detailed the plan that saw him achieve the amazing transformation.

He shrank down from 20.5 stone to 16 stone using the keto diet and IF.

The man also cut down on his calories in a bid to shed fat.

He told Reddit fans: “I cut calories to 1200 to 1300 ate a lot of eggs and salad.

“But if I was hungry I would eat earlier never late at night, sometimes you gotta cheat and lebanon bologna and Muenster cheese was my go to. Also BBQ Pork Rinds, those things are awesome.”

He also revealed that he didn’t carefully track his nutrition, but did focus on eating less carbohydrates.

“I did not count macros, just cut carbs and refined sugars out completely,” he wrote.

“If I had a sweet tooth I ate fruit, pineapple and those cotton candy grapes were my favourite.”

In terms of exercise, he upped calories burning potential with cardio.

The dieter explained: “I did cardio before every workout and lifted weights heavily. Exercised at least five times a week and some pick up basketball.”

What is the keto diet?

The keto diet is a low-carb, high-fat plan that many have credited for a successful weight loss. Keto-friendly foods include seafood, meat, cheese, and low-carb vegetables and fruit, such a berries.

Banned on the diet plan are pasta, bread, root vegetables and high carb fruits like bananas.

The keto diet plan can help you lose 10lb in one week. 

A low-carb diet plan includes cutting foods such as breads, pasta, rice and high-carb fruits.

Adding in protein can also speed up the metabolism and promote slimming.

What is IF, or intermittent fasting?

IF is not technically a diet, as it dictates when you eat and not what you eat.

However, many have credited IF for helping them to lose weight. This man revealed he ate all this calories for the day in four hours and fasted for 20 hours.
