Why Kris Jenner Doesn't Want to Marry Her Boyfriend, Corey Gamble

Kris Jenner, 63,  and Corey Gamble, 38, have been dating going on five years now but wedding bells aren’t in their future according to the world’s most famous momager. Keep reading to learn why Jenner doesn’t want to marry her boyfriend.

Kris Jenner’s marriage history

Jenner has been married and divorced twice. She married Robert Kardashian, who would become famous as a member of O.J. Simpson’s legal team, in 1978.

They met five years earlier at the Del Mar racetrack in California when Jenner caught Kardashian’s eye. He thought she resembled a young Natalie Wood.

After moving to Beverly Hills, California, they bought a house and had four children together — Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Rob Kardashian Jr., and Khloe Kardashian — before divorcing in 1991.

They divorced because of Jenner’s infidelity. She had been having an on-again-off-again affair with Todd Waterman, a soccer player, for two years before Kardashian found out.

In a 2016 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Jenner expressed the regret she felt then — and still feels — about her first divorce.

“I had a wonderful, beautiful life with Robert. He was just an amazing man,” she said, adding, “I always wish I could call Robert right now. That’s an everyday thing.”

Shortly before her divorce from Kardashian became official, Jenner went on a blind date with Bruce Jenner — now Caitlyn Jenner — and after a few months of dating, they married. They would then have two children together, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

By 2013 their marriage started to crack and by 2015 the couple divorced citing irreconcilable differences. The same year Bruce Jenner transitioned to become Caitlyn Jenner.

Kris Jenner on marriage: ‘I just don’t think that I want to go there’

After two marriages that didn’t end in a spectacular fashion, Jenner doesn’t feel the need to get married again.

As a guest on the podcast, Divorce Sucks with Laura Wasser, Jenner talked about the possibility of marrying her boyfriend, Corey Gamble.

“You know, you never say never, but I often say it’s just not what I think I need to do again based on my past. I’m in a really great relationship right now, and I’m happy and I don’t want to mess that up,” she said.

She continued, saying she doesn’t feel the need for the pomp and circumstance of a wedding.

“I don’t have the need to put on a long, white dress and walk down an aisle. I’ve done that. I’ve had the big wedding,” Jenner said.

She added that she already had kids and doesn’t need to go down that road again.

“I’ve had the babies and the kids—six of them, by the way. It’s not like we need to do that again; my body wouldn’t cooperate if I wanted it to,” she explained.

She feels happy where she is in her life right now and doesn’t want marriage to be part of life again saying, “I think that I just feel really grateful and blessed for my past experiences and I’m looking forward to my future and I just don’t think that I want to go there.”

Marriage ‘didn’t work out so well’

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the topic of marriage came up along with Jenner’s relationship with Gamble. She commented on their age difference saying “age is just a number” and discussed taking a page out of her daughter’s playbook for relationships.

“You know, I’ve done that twice and it didn’t work out so well,” the 63-year-old told DeGeneres. “So I don’t know — you never know. I’m going to take a page out of Goldie and Kurt’s book. Or Kourtney’s book. I think as long as things are going so well, why ruffle it up?”

During a spot on another show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Jenner revealed she and boyfriend don’t talk about marriage. Why? Because they’re “so happy with the way things are right now.”

As Jenner said herself, “never say never” about marriage but it probably won’t happen for her and Gamble because they’re happy with their life together.
