Princess Beatrice, 32, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, will welcome their first baby together later this year.

The sweet couple got married last year in front of 20 guests in Windsor, including The Queen, the late Prince Philip and Beatrice's father Prince Andrew.

Princess Beatrice is due to give birth to hers and Edoardo’s first child in the autumn, which is not long after Princess Eugenie welcomed her first little one.

Princess Eugenie shared snaps of baby August on Instagram to introduce him to the world in February.

We might not get the same style of introduction to Princess Beatrice’s baby however, as the mum-to-be isn’t active on social media.

Back in 2018, it was revealed by Princess Beatrice’s friend Karlie Kloss that she has a private Instagram account when she tagged her in an story.

Beatrice is also the owner of a public Twitter account but she’s not very active on it, with her last tweet falling in March to celebrate World Book Day.

On the other hand, Edoardo does have Instagram and his account, unlike Beatrice’s, is public and boasts over 71,000 followers.

When a member of the Royal Family has a baby, they are typically introduced outside of the hospital as the parents make their first public appearance with their newborn.

However, it has been predicted that, in Princess Beatrice’s case, Buckingham Palace will share photos of the newborn first, to announce the news.

The Queen’s office were the first to release photos of the couple’s official wedding last year, and so the same could apply for the newborn.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo chose to make their baby announcement via the traditional route of Buckingham Palace.

In a statement on the Royal Family's Instagram account, alongside a picture of the pair on their wedding day, it read: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

"The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news."

There have already been guesses as to what Princess Beatrice and Edoardo might name their baby.

Leading bookmaker Coral has made Victoria their 3-1 favourite for the baby while Arthur is in second place at 5-1.

Victoria has a Latin origin meaning of “victory” and is the feminine version of the male name Victor.

Princess Beatrice may choose the name because of its family links to her great-great-great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria who reigned for 64 years from 1837 to 1901.

Meanwhile Arthur, which has a Celtic origin with the meaning of “bear”, could also be a favourite for Beatrice and Edoardo after Queen Victoria’s third son, Prince Arthur of Connaught, who was born in 1883.

The bookmaker has made Mary and Oliver as the joint third favourites at 6-1 for the little one.
