Huge new $1.5bn resort next to Disney World opening in 2023 – with golf courses, water rides and lagoon swimming pools

A HUGE new resort in Florida is being built next to Disney World, with an 18-golf course, a water attraction and lagoon swimming pool.

The $1.5bn Evermore resort will have a 443-room hotel as well as pool-side homes and villas, sleeping between two and 11 people.

The resort is on the former Villas of Grand Cypress hotel, which is also just 10 miles away from Universal Orlando.

The first phase will include 1,500 bedrooms altogether, but the resort will eventually have 10,000 rooms.

At the Conrad Orlando hotel at Evermore, there will also be a spa and rooftop dining experience along with other restaurants and bars.

The eight-acre Crystal Lagoon will be the main attraction, which has sandy beaches, as well as water activities, bars and restaurants.

This includes first rope swings and cliff jumping area, a waterslide zone and a recreation hub with kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.

The 18-hole golf course will also open to guests with tee times opening 60 days before visiting.

Fancy getting married there? You can rent The Boathouse – a huge two-storey facility with a 2,500sqft ballroom, floor to ceiling glass windows and views of the water.

While prices are yet to be revealed, the resort hopes to open by 2023 with bookings opening from next year.

Due to its proximity to both theme parks, they will likely have deals and packages for families wanting to visit either of them.

Disney World holidays are still popular with Brits despite current travel restrictions.

TUI and AttractionTickets.com are both seeing reservations for summer 2021 and even for 2022, with families opting to get in their next holiday.

Here are some of the best deals to take advantage of.
