Disney star Cameron Boyce ‘suffered from epilepsy’ as it’s revealed he died from seizure in his sleep

Following Cameron Boyce’s shock death at age 20, it’s been reported that he suffered from epilepsy.

The actor, who is best known for starring in Descendants and Jessie, passed away after suffering from a seizure in his sleep, brought on by an ongoing medical condition, his family revealed.

TMZ has now reported that Cameron’s seizures were ”triggered by his epilepsy", and he was undergoing treatment for the condition.

Cameron’s family said in a statement at the time of his death: “It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” they said in a statement.

“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.

“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.

“We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother,” they added.

His co-stars have also spoken out online following his tragic death.

Cameron played Adam Sandler’s son in the comedy film Grown Ups in 2010.


Adam shared: “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around.

"Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world.

"Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way.

“All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences."
