Whoopi Goldberg takes tumble on The View

Whoopi Goldberg, 67, looked like she was about to tip out of her chair as she leant over while her The View co-star Sara Haines discussed body hair with the moderators.

It happened as Sara, 45, explained the benefits of keeping underarm hair long, causing the actress to lean away from her.

Brushing away comments about underarm hair causing a “funky scent”, Sarah explained: “It also reduces friction, a little bit, and it wicks sweat away.”

The camera then panned over to Whoopi, who could be seen leaning to the side with a comical blank stare while the audience laughed.

In what seemed like an attempt to prevent Whoopi from falling off her chair, Sarah went over and put her arm around her.

However, the whole moment ended up being a joke as Sarah put her armpit closer to Whoopi’s face, fanning the air with her hand, alluding to the actress’ disgusted reaction.

It comes after last month Whoopi was forced to shut down the rowdy studio audience after they interrupted her interview with the American Idol judges.

The TV star was about to interview her guests – American Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie – when she was forced to shut down the rowdy audience, begging them to let her and her co-hosts “get through it”.

As the trio of judges walked out to the panel, the audience cheered on their feet and screamed for them.

Luke played up to the crowd, by twirling one of the audience members around in a playful dance before he sat down with the panel.

Whoopi attempted to begin her interview with them, saying to Luke, Lionel, and Katy: “It’s really wonderful to have you all here at the table with us.

“You’re back with the 21st season — only six for y’all — of American Idol. Now, when you see all the things that-“

But the host clearly couldn’t concentrate as the crowd loudly cheered. She pouted her lips and swivelled around in her chair to face the audience.

The actress firmly addressed the audience saying: “Okay, y’all! You have to let us ask the question.

“We’ll get back to you, but you’ve got to let us get through it because you know we take forever to ask these questions.”

The comedian slowly focused her gaze on the camera and continued to pout, as the audience and panel laughed, before she turned back around to face the panel.
